<p> </p><p>St Maroun’s is an Independent co-educational K-12 Catholic College in the Maronite tradition. </p><p>An exciting opportunity exists to join our dedicated team of educators to help deliver a vibrant classroom music program across the Secondary School. </p><p>Our Music program is compulsory from Kindergarten to Year 8. The successful applicant will teach Years 7-8 mandatory, Years 9 - 10  elective and Year 12 Music 1. </p><p>The College is currently growing its music program to give students the confidence to play and sing for Liturgical celebrations through a band and choir as well as musicals. </p><p>This is a contract position full-time and will commence Term 4 2021 continuing into 2022 and possibly beyond to fill maternity leave. </p><p>• Experience &amp; qualifications in classroom music teaching; </p><p>• Highly developed general musical skills and knowledge; </p><p>• Ability to teach theory and composition; </p><p>• Knowledge/ experience of using Sibelius Music Program as a teaching tool; </p><p>• Willingness to work with an evolving Music Curriculum; </p><p>• Willingness to work with repertoire in a wide range of styles and genres; </p><p>The following will be advantageous: </p><p>• Strong abilities in playing and teaching (in a classroom and individual setting) one or more of the following instruments – piano, keyboard, guitar, recorder, drum; </p><p>• Confident singing ability/choral singing experience; </p><p>• Experience in directing classroom based ensembles; </p><p>• Experience in mentoring student directed bands; </p><p>• Experience in successfully delivering Music to HSC standard </p><p> Applications should include a cover letter addressed to The Principal, Sister Margaret Ghosn, your CV with the name and contact details of 3 referees.
