<p><b>Coordinator of Agriculture </b></p><p><b>(Coordinator 2) </b></p><p><b>Term 1, 2022 Commencement </b></p><p><i>The appointment is for an initial period of up to 3 years, renewable by mutual agreement. </i></p><p>We are seeking to appoint an innovative and highly skilled Coordinator of Agriculture with excellent leadership, administration, communication skills and classroom experience. The successful applicant will have knowledge of current developments in teaching and learning and a passion and enthusiasm for teaching. The appointment is for an initial period of up to 3 years, renewable by mutual agreement. </p><p>The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate knowledge of, and experience in, the areas listed below: </p><p><b>Key duties and responsibilities </b></p><p>• Teaching Agriculture across Stages 4, 5 and 6; </p><p>• Ability to deliver Primary Industries (VET) is advantageous; </p><p>• Ability to teach Stage 4 Technology; </p><p>• Farm Management;</p><p>• Show Team Management;</p><p> </p><p>• Team Leadership - leading learning; </p><p>• Implementation of new syllabi; </p><p>• Developing a ‘climate of excellence’; </p><p>• Vision; </p><p>• Teaching and Learning; </p><p>• Staff Development and Administration; </p><p>• Communication with Parents and Students; </p><p>• Administration of a Department; </p><p>• A thorough knowledge of current pedagogy; </p><p>• Demonstrated success in program development including the ability to initiate, co-ordinate and evaluate new programs; </p><p>• Outstanding organisational skills, ability and stamina to work in multiple teaching and agricultural environments; </p><p>• HSC marking experience (advantageous); </p><p>• Facilitates agriculture co-curricular activities e.g. attending nominated agriculture shows and promotion and organisation of the Show Team.</p><p><b>The successful applicant will: </b></p><p>• Hold a degree with a specialisation in Agriculture education (preferred); </p><p>• Demonstrate a clear understanding and commitment to the Mission of the Catholic School; </p><p>• Be supportive of the Lasallian ethos of the College; </p><p>• Be an experienced, innovative and engaging team leader; </p><p>• Teach with excellence, professionalism and commitment; </p><p>• Have an ability to relate to girls and boys with a practical knowledge of boy’s education issues and initiatives in the foundation years (Stage 4 and 5); </p><p>• Be committed to professional growth and development of excellence.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p>Oakhill College is committed to innovative high quality teaching and learning and offers excellent facilities and resources.
