<p><i>Monte Sant&#39; Angelo Mercy College is an independent school for girls in years 7 - 12. Heritage buildings and landscaped grounds provide an attractive educational environment.</i></p><p>An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced <b>Facilities/Maintenance Officer</b> to join the College carrying out repairs, maintenance, building works and alterations. This position also involves assisting with College event setups as an integral member of the College Facilities Department.</p><p>This is a full time ongoing position reporting to the Facilities Manager and working on a regular roster between 6am - 7pm. Flexibility to work different shifts as required would be desirable and can be discussed in more detail throughout the interview process.</p><p>This position will suit an active Facilities Officer who is looking for variety and challenge.</p><p>Key requirements:</p><ul><li>Experience in a trade such as carpentry, basic plumbing, painting, metal work or basic electrical.</li><li>Ability to cope with manual handling tasks such as furniture removal.</li><li>Ability to work at heights over two meters (with safety equipment and training)</li><li>Good communication skills</li><li>Able to build solid reputation based on competence and capability</li><li>Reasonable computer (PC) skills</li><li>Ability to work in a team and independently as required</li></ul><p>As a school community, Monte places a strong emphasis on collegiality and professional development.
