Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and shares in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.

We are always on the lookout for top talent to help us achieve our strategic goal of inspiring the future, through quality catholic schooling and by strengthening the professional lives of our employees.</p> <p><strong>About the Role:</strong></p> <p>Caroline Chisholm is seeking a skilled, contemporary and passionate Secondary Learning Support Teacher on a <strong>temporary</strong> <strong>full-time</strong> basis (remainder of 2021) to be part of our school community and enrich the lives of our students. More specifically you will:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Manage personalised plans of particular students</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Facilitate specialised intervention plans (EMU, Reading Tutor Program, R3, MaqLit - or similar)</li> <li>Work with teachers to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs</li> <li>Partner with teachers to differentiate assessment</li> <li>Team teaching in learning spaces</li> <li>Work creatively and constructively within a range of 'communities' inside and beyond the school and set high, achievable goals for themselves and their students</li> <li>Complete modelling adjustments for teachers</li> <li>Work with students in small groups and individual support contexts</li> <li>Ensure quality record keeping</li> <li>Assist with examination provisions</li> <li>Coach and motivate students to achieve and to develop a life-long love of learning</li> <li>Partner with Post School Options to support students accessing this service</li> <li>Mentor students as per requirements</li> </ul> <p><strong>About you:</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Degree qualifications in a relevant discipline such as education, vocational education, human resources, disability support</li> <li>Working with Children Check</li> <li>Australian resident or citizen</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Extensive experience in support and adjustments for students with diverse needs</li> <li>A well-developed understanding of a broad range of learning and other disabilities</li> <li>A strong commitment to inclusion of diverse students</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to contribute positively to a high performing team</li> <li>The ability to work with parents as partners in their children's learning</li> </ul> <p>We believe that our employee community is a key strength of our organisation and we aim to attract the best talent to achieve our strategic goal of being leaders in quality, faith-based education and an Employer of Choice in our sector.
