<p><b>FULL-TIME | SALARY RANGE $95,000 - 110,000 P.A. PLUS SUPER </b></p><p><b>INITIAL 3 YEAR CONTRACT | COMMENCING - IMMEDIATE</b></p><p><b> </b></p><p>An exciting opportunity exists for an Internal Audit and Risk Officer working with regional and remote schools in the Northern Territory. The position is based at Berrimah, Catholic Education Office. </p><p>The Internal Audit and Risk Officer will be responsible for conducting and coordinating internal audits and reviewing across the Catholic Education Northern Territory (CENT). This vital role is responsible for developing and embedding a Risk Management Framework (RMF) at CENT that delivers improved processes and outcomes. </p><p>Key responsibilities: </p><p>• Taking carriage for the development of CENT Risk Management Framework, including the review, monitoring and reporting on corporate, strategic and financial risk management issues in Remote and Urban schools. </p><p>• Conducting internal risk management and financial audits and making recommendations for improvement of finance and management processes. </p><p>• Managing the engagement of external providers of internal audit, risk management and other review services. </p><p>• Educating for awareness of risk controls to enable School leaders to understand and appreciate their risk management responsibilities. </p><p>• Developing and implementing risk reporting dashboards for risk reporting purposes. </p><p>• Reviewing and making recommendations. </p><p>• Ensuring CENT Finance Officers and Principals following legislative requirements and give guidance on optimum practice approaches. </p><p>• Exercising good commercial acumen and ensuring audit recommendations are balanced, sustainable and risk-based. </p><p>• Undertaking timely follow up of issues to ensure that they have been actioned. </p><p>• Identifying, recommending and supporting the operational improvement of CENT’s own processes, policies and management approaches and/or tools. </p><p>This position may involve working with children.
