The Performing Arts Administrative Assistant is employed to provide administrative support to the Head of Performing Arts, Head of Performance, Director of Performing Arts Events and Instrumental Music Program and other Performing Arts staff. The Performing Arts Administrative Assistant manages the day-to-day tasks of the Instrumental Music Program in consultation with the director. .

<p><b>PURPOSE </b></p><p>The Performing Arts Administrative Assistant is employed to provide administrative support to the Head of Performing Arts, Head of Performance, Director of Performing Arts Events and Instrumental Music Program and other Performing Arts staff. The Performing Arts Administrative Assistant manages the day-to-day tasks of the Instrumental Music Program in consultation with the director. The Administration Assistant is responsible to the Principal via the Business Manager. On a day to day basis, the Administration Assistant will report to the Head of Performing Arts, Head of Performance and Director of Performing Arts Events. </p><p><b>KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY </b></p><p><b>• </b>Coordinate applications for the co-curricular music programme </p><p>• Schedule Instrumental music timetables </p><p>• Assist in coordinating sessional music teachers’ attendances </p><p>• Liaise with students, staff &amp; parents regarding Instrumental Music program </p><p>• Admin &amp; stage support for all Performing Arts events </p><p>• Admin support for all Performing Arts extra-curricular events (production, tours, camps, excursions) </p><p>• Assist with the College’s Receptionist’s scheduled breaks. </p><p>• Other tasks requested by the Principal or authorised delegate. </p><p><b>SKILLS AND ABILITIES </b></p><p><b>•</b> Excellent time management and organisational skills; </p><p>• Excellent presentation and communication skills; </p><p>• Ability to exhibit multi-tasking and work independently and as a team member; </p><p>• Ability to be self-motivated, focused and to complete tasks on time; </p><p>• Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word. </p><p>• Knowledge of a PA system (desired but not essential) </p><p><b>Experience, Qualifications and Special Conditions: </b></p><p>• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, and an ability to be able to effectively communicate with students, parents, teachers, external agencies and support structures. </p><p>• Demonstrated experience working within a school environment would be advantageous. </p><p>• Experience in the music or performing arts industries will be well regarded. </p><p>• A successfully completed Police Check and Working with Children Check. </p><p>• Demonstrated commitment to the safety of children and young people.</p><p>Full details are available at <a href="http://www.salesian.vic.edu.au/employment" rel="nofollow">www.salesian.vic.edu.au/employment</a></p><p><br /></p>
