Ascham is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic teacher able to deliver subjects in Visual Arts and Mandatory Technology

<p>This is a temporary full-time (1.0 FTE) teaching role starting Term 4, 2021 until the end of Term 2, 2022. There is the potential for this role to be extended beyond this period. </p><p>Applicants will be required to teach Years 7-8 Mandatory Technology (including Digital Technologies) and Years 9-11 Visual Arts with an emphasis on teaching digital photography, film and animation. </p><ul><li>Applicants will be able to demonstrate a track record of: </li><li>Their students producing a range of high-quality work </li><li>An ability to deliver safe and engaging lessons </li><li>An understanding of key concepts and the ability to demonstrate practical techniques </li><li>An awareness and ability to provide and manage a safe work environment </li><li>Appropriate use of ICT </li><li>An ability to develop self-efficacy in the students they teach </li></ul><p><b>What you have to do to succeed: </b></p><ul><li>Demonstrated experience in Visual Arts – Photomedia, Time-Based Forms, Graphic Design, Technology – Agriculture and Food, Digital Technologies, Material Technologies and Engineered Systems. </li><li>Be able to work and contribute in a team environment. </li><li>They will be able to provide curriculum support in the development of new programs and be open to new ideas </li><li>Be familiar with the implementation of new technologies and be a highly proficient using a range of Adobe Create Suite applications </li><li>An ability to teach or willingness to learn Python coding (highly desirable) </li></ul><p>The successful applicant will enjoy small class sizes, a stimulating work environment in a team of talented professionals, and attractive remuneration and benefits. </p><p>Please apply via SEEK with a copy of an updated CV (including WWCC, NESA &amp; First Aid details), cover letter and references (current Principal included) no later than Friday, 9 July 2021. </p><p>Please note that applications will be reviewed as they come in and that only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
