Aspect is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and flexible Education leader to work as a member of our student-centred, multi-disciplinary education team. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>What you will do: </strong>Lead and collaborate with a team of specialists including teachers, teacher's aides, school therapists, coordinators, administrators and other Aspect staff to deliver our evidence-informed, student focused autism-specific approach - the Aspect Comprehensive Approach [ACA]. Use a student-centred and family-focused approach to ensure the delivery of quality educational standards. As a core member of the school's Leadership Team, you will lead and develop the Education team and work with families and other members of the school community. <span style="color: #3366ff;"><a style="color: #3366ff;" title="Position Profile Coordinator Level 3" href="https://applynow.net.au/jobs/ASPECT1301/assets/15590743">To view the full position profile, please click here</a>.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>About the School:<span style="color: #ff0000;"> </span></strong></span><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Aspect Vern Barnett School provides placement for approximately 120 students on the autism spectrum from ages 4 to 16 years from Forestville, as well as from five satellite classes within the Catholic and Department of Education schools in Sydney’s northern suburbs.</span> </p><p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></span> </p><ul><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Work with the Principal to lead and plan the operational running of the school</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Lead on high quality implementation of the ACA across the school to address specific individual needs</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Provide regular coaching, support and supervision to staff team to improve practice</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Develop knowledge/practice from other professionals in collaboration with the school's Leadership Team</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Develop and foster effective working relationships with colleagues</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Leading other school initiatives, events, programs and activities as required</span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>What we are looking for:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">To provide for consistency of support across the school, we are ideally looking for a candidate available to work full time (38 hrs per week). We would consider 4 days a week for the right candidate. </span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Recognised University or Tertiary teaching qualifications as determined by NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Demonstrated dynamic leadership abilities including managing a highly effective team</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Experience working with students with autism or neurodiversity desirable</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Experience in developing and applying curriculum for students with autism or neurodiversity preferred</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">NSW Working With Children Check for paid employment</span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>What we offer: </strong>As a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), Aspect employees receive tax-effective salary packaging opportunities including $15,899 each year tax free.
