A Co-educational Catholic High School serving the Albion Park area with an enrolment of approximately 700 pupils.

<div>A temporary full time parental leave replacement position commencing 5 October 2021 until 7 October 2022. The successful applicant will be required to lead the management and implementation of Diverse Learning Needs for the students of the school.</div> <div> <p>The role of Middle Leader exists to support the principal in implementing the vision and mission of the school, to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students and assist the school leadership team in the conduct and organisation of the school.</p> </div> <div>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</div> <ul> <li>&nbsp;an understanding of and a commitment to the mission of Catholic Education</li> <li>&nbsp;experience as a secondary teacher with Special Education/Inclusive Education qualifications</li> <li>demonstrated ability to provide appropriate intervention to meet the learning needs of student with particular&nbsp;diverse needs in the 21st Century environment</li> <li>demonstrate an understanding of positive behaviour approaches and an ability to develop and maintain a&nbsp;positive, innovative approach to support students with challenging behaviours</li> <li>an ability to develop, implement and monitor quality personalised learning plans, including quality&nbsp;literacy and numeracy practices, that will enhance students’ ability to access the general curriculum</li> <li>an ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with leadership school staff, parents and the wider school community in order to establish and develop positive partnerships</li> <li>an understanding of NCCD procedures and the ability to effectively report and manage resources.</li> </ul> <p>The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Well-developed oral and written communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li> <li>Strong administrative and organisational skills.</li> </ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Appropriate qualifications for teaching</li> <li>Appropriate additional qualifications or experience in a relevant area&nbsp;</li> <li>NESA Accreditation at Proficient Teacher level or above.</li> </ul> <p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p> <p>This role is classified as a child related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us.</p> <p>POSITION APPLICATION&nbsp;</p> <p>Applicants are to complete an online application which asks to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Closing date: 11 July 2021 at 11.55pm</strong></p>
