Cranbrook School is seeking an experienced and energetic Pre-school Educator to join our dynamic pre-school team on a part-time, fixed term basis until the end of Term 4, 2021.

<p><b>ABOUT THE POSITION </b></p><p>Commencing as soon as possible, this part-time role works across five days, Monday to Friday, 15 hours per week. </p><p>The Pre-school Educator is part of the team at our St Mark’s Pre-school, located in Darling Point in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. The position reports to the Coordinator of Pre-Schools and the Head of Junior School. </p><p><b>ABOUT YOU </b></p><p>You will be an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated educator who is passionate about working with children aged 3 to 5 years, and capable of working collaboratively within dynamic teaching teams. You will possess exceptional interpersonal skills and have the ability to build authentic relationships with students, parents and other colleagues. </p><p>The successful applicant will possess an exemplary understanding of best practice and sustain a deep commitment to implementing rigorous, highly differentiated and creative programmes in an early childhood setting. They will have experience planning, implementing and evaluating a stimulating programme within an early childhood setting to meet the needs of children with identified needs. </p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria </b></p><ul><li>A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent as approved by ACECQA). </li><li>Demonstrated exemplary understanding of best practice in the early years. </li><li>A perceptive understanding of the role of evidence in informing teaching and learning. </li><li>Ability to plan and implement differentiated and creative programmes in an early education setting. </li><li>Experience in digital documentation and journals. </li><li>Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Demonstrated strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework. </li><li>Current First Aid Certificate (in Education and Care HLTAID004). </li><li>Experience working with the IB Primary Years Programme will be highly regarded. </li></ul><p><b>PRE-EMPLOYMENT CHECKS </b></p><p>Cranbrook School is a child safe environment.
