The position may also involve supporting teachers across the curriculum with the integration and co-teaching of numeracy and literacy skills. The position will suit a teacher with expertise in numeracy and literacy education and a passion for working with students to improve these skills. </p><p><b>Essential criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Demonstrable commitment and support for the ethos of Sydney Catholic Schools</li><li>Eligible for approval to teach in Sydney Catholic Schools</li><li>NESA accreditation at proficient or higher level</li><li>Demonstrable success as a classroom teacher in improving student achievement in numeracy and literacy.</li><li>Ability and patience for working with students who find achieving the minimum stands challenging</li><li>Experience in analysing and acting on data to improve student achievement</li><li>Experience in working collaboratively to deliver effective initiatives, professional development and support in improving numeracy and literacy</li></ul><p><b>Desirable Criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Practicing Catholic </li><li>Successful background in working with students with a range of learning needs</li><li>Relevant postgraduate study or qualifications </li></ul><p><b>Accountability:</b></p><p>The Numeracy and Literacy teacher will be directly accountable to the Leader of Learning and Curriculum. </p>
