<p><b><i>SPECIFIC CRITERIA </i></b></p><p>St Leo’s Catholic College is seeking to appoint an energetic person in the role of Leader of Information Resources. The successful applicant will: </p><ul><li>Be passionate about quality Catholic teaching.</li><li>Be supportive of the Catholic Ethos of the College.</li><li>Have experience in either teaching or as a Librarian. </li><li>Assist with the provision of information literacy and research skills and possess outstanding communication abilities. </li><li>Encourage the love of reading across all mediums and in all students. </li><li>Knowledge/experience of Destiny/Compass/Clickview software. </li><li>Maintain and develop a well-balanced collection of resources: physical, technological, and intellectual that will meet the needs of the College’s Learning &amp; Teaching initiatives. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community, particularly as the role is part of the Middle Leaders Team.</li><li>Be available to operate the Resource Centre outside of regular hours as negotiated with the Principal and within the Enterprise Agreement. Outside of school hours is required, particularly in the lead up to assessment blocks, to assist and supervise students. </li><li>Be approachable and be able to build rapport with students across all year groups. </li><li>A strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and to be self motivated. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to integrate technology in learning and library services and be able to incorporate technology effectively to develop students’ skills in digital technology.</li><li>Effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student welfare practices.</li><li>Highly developed interpersonal and presentation skills able to communicate effectively and respectfully with students, colleagues, parents/carers and community members. </li></ul><p>Applicants who are not currently working in a Broken Bay systemic school must have a 4-year training qualification or be enrolled to undertake further study that will provide them with a four year trained qualification to be eligible to apply for any teaching position in the Diocese. </p><p>All applicants for teaching positions must email the <a href="https://www.csodbb.catholic.edu.au/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Teacher-Application-Form.pdf" rel="nofollow">Permanent and Temporary Teacher Application Form</a>, resume and a letter addressing the essential/specific criteria for the position to the Principal. </p><p>For further information please visit our website - <a href="https://www.csodbb.catholic.edu.au/" rel="nofollow">https://www.csodbb.catholic.edu.au/</a></p><p> </p><p><i>Catholic Schools Broken Bay promotes a culture of safety and care for children and young people.
