<p>Sacred Heart is seeking a dedicated and innovative teacher to join our school. We are seeking to employ a teacher who is dedicated, flexible, organised and focussed. We will only be interviewing experienced teachers who have an understanding and skills with students who have a disability or learning difficulties. The successful applicant will work in supporting students with intervention, extension and enrichment. The other component of the role is School Tutor as part of the Victorian Governments Tutoring Initiative. This funding is to assist students in Year 1 to 6 who have fallen behind due to COVID school shutdowns in 2020.</p><p>The position is a fixed term contract commencing Term 3 – 12th July 2021 (or earlier by negotiation) and concluding on 28th January 2022 (it is possible this position will extend beyond 2021). The position is a full time position.</p><p> </p><p>This position has the following major responsibilities: </p><ul><li>provide intervention, extension and enrichment support to students one-on-one or in small groups </li><li>attend unit PLT meetings and contribute and report necessary data or information to the team members as required </li><li>plan, teach and assess all intervention, extension and enrichment for students </li><li>maintain a timetable that is flexible and responsive to need </li><li>work in classrooms and the Learning Support area to support students with literacy or numeracy needs </li><li>work closely with the Learning and Teaching Leader and Wellbeing Leader in supporting our students with who have been identified as requiring support. </li></ul><p>The successful applicant will: </p><ul><li>have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children. </li><li>hold Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration. </li><li>possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience and will embrace a collegial, team-based approach to teaching and learning. </li><li>be appropriately qualified, demonstrate enthusiasm and ability to deliver the appropriate curriculum to a range of educational abilities, and be able to provide care and support for students whilst supporting and respecting the ethos of the school and its environment. </li></ul><p><br /></p><p> </p><p> </p>
