<p><strong>We are looking for a full-time teacher to join the team Ltyentye Apurte Catholic School (LACS) in Santa Teresa. This is a remarkable school in a beautiful community.  </strong></p> <p>We are doing this to due to expanding enrolments and high attendance. The class will be a straight Year 5 with male and female students.  </p><p>LACS is a K - 12 school in Santa Teresa (aka Ltyentye Apurte), a medium-sized Indigenous Catholic community located 83 KM south east of Alice Springs.<br /></p> <p>There are currently 44 staff and an enrolment of approximately 149 students.<br /></p> <p>The school generally has small class sizes and features specialist facilities including a library and food technology room. Every classroom has access to the Internet and is fitted with PCs, laptops, iPads and (SMART) interactive whiteboards. <br /></p> <p>English is the second or third language for most students at the school, and the Arrernte language and culture program is a key focus of the curriculum at LACS. Indeed, it is our school strategic focus now. </p> <p>Teachers work as members of a team in partnership with local Indigenous people and Arrernte Assistant Teachers. Staff members live in close proximity to each other and the school.
