Diverse Learning Coordinator 2pt - Year 7 to 12 - Full-time permanent - 0.3 time allocation for Coord duties and 0.7 allocation to in-class support / teaching

<p>St Ursula’s College is pleased to invite applications for a permanent full-time Diverse Learning Coordinator (Year 7-12) to join our dynamic learning community in Kingsgrove. </p><p>This role supports the work of the Leader of Teaching and Learning Innovation and is specifically responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the teaching and learning agenda within our Diverse Learning team, with a focus on both enrichment/acceleration and support/remediation. </p><p><b>The role: </b></p><ul><li>2 point Coordinator; </li><li>0.3 time allocation for Coordinator duties; </li><li>0.7 allocation to in-class support / teaching; </li><li>Lead the ongoing development and management of our Newman (Gifted and Talented) learning enrichment programme; </li><li>Lead a team of specialist Learning support teachers and Learning support officers as well as the team of Newman Teachers; </li><li>Oversee all processes relevant to Diverse Learning administration, documentation, record-keeping, standardised testing, and application of provisions, etc; </li><li>Manage all NCCD / funding procedures. </li></ul><p><b>Formal Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Have post graduate qualifications in Gifted Education ie Masters level </li><li>Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in a Catholic School (Category C) </li><li>Accreditation at Proficient Teacher level or above </li><li>Have a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).</li></ul><p><b>Essential Criteria:</b></p><p>The successful applicant will: </p><ul><li>Be able to demonstrate engagement and contribution to the life and mission of the Catholic Church, incorporating the values of the Gospel into areas of their work </li><li>Be actively supportive of our Ursuline Catholic tradition; </li><li>Have demonstrated expertise as a classroom practitioner </li><li>Be committed to cultivating a contemporary and effective learning culture </li><li>Have extensive understanding, engagement and experience in area/s of expertise </li><li>Have a demonstrated capacity to effectively lead a diverse range of staff; </li><li>Be a confident, capable leader with the ability to design, lead and manage multiple projects and deadlines to a high quality and accuracy.</li></ul><p><b>Desirable Criteria </b></p><ul><li>Experience in a Newman Accredited 7-12 school </li><li>Experience as a Diverse Learning Coordinator in a 7-12 school </li><li>Ability to analyse data and coordinate (purposeful) strategies to improve teaching practice and student outcomes in Diverse Learning.</li></ul><p>The starting date is negotiable. </p><p>If you have the right qualifications, background, and disposition for this opportunity, we invite you to submit your application. </p><p>Applications must include a cover letter detailing the reasons for your application and a summary of your relevant experience; an updated CV in which you need to address the essential criteria.
