Exciting opportunity for a committed Christian teacher to join our school in a newly created position overseeing Learning and Curriculum for Years 3-6.

<p><b>Commencing Term 3, 2021 </b></p><p>Penrith Christian School is a well established and vibrant Christian community, providing an exciting and innovative learning environment for over 800 students including an Early Learning Centre at Orchard Hills. </p><p>This exciting new position overseeing Learning and Curriculum for students in Years 3-6 has come about due to new directions and a new structure in 2021. We are inviting applications from committed Christians, active in their local church, to join our team in Term 3, 2021. This position will report to the Head of Learning and Teaching, and work collaboratively with teachers in Years 3-6 to lead a culture of continuous improvement and academic excellence. Responsibilities include identifying and leading professional development opportunities for staff, fostering evidence-based learning and assessment strategies, instructional leadership, stakeholder management, in addition to design, implementation, evaluation and compliance of curriculum. Remuneration for the successful candidate will be at a Position of Responsibility Level 2. The ideal candidate will also have a passion for engaging students&#39; love of learning inspiring and fostering their skills, creativity and enjoyment, whilst developing their skills in foundational Literacy and Numeracy areas. </p><p>Employment conditions will be negotiated in the context of the current NSW Christian Schools Teaching Staff Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2021. </p><p><b>You will need to be able to demonstrate the following: </b></p><ul><li>recent experience in a similar position desirable </li><li>evidence of excellence in practice targeting development of student key capabilities </li><li>strong organisational skills </li><li>success in a position of responsibility within a primary school context </li><li>collaborative, innovative and effective practice in a current teaching context </li><li>extensive awareness and understanding of contemporary pedagogical practices </li><li>highly relational interpersonal skills with staff, students and parents </li><li>a demonstrated capacity to work as a wider school team member </li><li>excellent oral and written communication skills </li><li>flexibility and interest in working in an innovative and dynamic environment </li><li>excellent ICT skills across a range of platforms. </li></ul><p><b>Mandatory Requirements include: </b></p><ul><li>NESA accreditation </li><li>a current Working With Children Check approval number </li><li>an active Christian faith and current church involvement with referees. </li></ul><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Applications close 4.00pm Friday 14 May 2021 </b></p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>How to apply: </b></p><p><b><i>Only applicants who complete the official Employment Application form will be considered. </i></b> Visit the PCS website www.pcs.nsw.edu.au/news/employment to download the Employment Application form.
