The Scots School Albury has a strong Performing Arts program for students K - 12. Annual showcase musicals, drama, dance, pipe band, various choirs and music groups. A rare opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced leader for for our Performing Arts (Whole School) (Co-curricular).

Our foundation as a traditional, yet modern place of education ensures our students gain from our experience and history through innovative pedagogy inspired by best practice. </p><p>A rare opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced leader for our Performing Arts (Whole School) (Co-curricular).<br /></p><p><b>Head of Performing Arts (Whole School) (Co-curricular) - commencing by Term 3 2021 (by negotiation).</b></p><p>Applicants for this role will ideally have:</p><ul><li>Experience in working with students K-12 in a range of performing arts.</li><li>Experience in direction, stage management, venue management and technical support for sound and lighting, operation, and design.</li><li>Qualifications and experience Teaching Drama and or Music.</li></ul><p><b>The Role </b></p><p>The Head of Performing Arts (Whole School) (Co-Curricular) will focus on facilitating learning and growth for students through the Co-Curricular arts programme. The Head of Performing Arts (Whole School) will encourage and foster innovation and focus on holistic learning through the design and implementation of a broad, engaging programme, inclusive of the performing arts such as musical theatre, drama, music, oratory, and dance. The Head of Performing Arts (Whole School) will lead teams and individuals across the School to assure quality, student engagement and operational efficiency at each opportunity. </p><p>The Head of Performing Arts (Whole School) is expected to make a significant contribution to the cultural ethos of the school, by planning and implementing community events and programs. Working with the EXEC and Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Performing Arts (Whole School) has leadership responsibility for the administration of arts programs and the extensive Co-Curricular program. The role involves leadership and administration of performances occasionally beyond school hours.</p><p>The position requires a teaching role of approximately 0.6FTE (0.8 if not directing production)<b>.</b></p><p><i>Please note we are currently recruiting for an innovative and experience Learning Area Leader - Expressing Department (Arts / Design).
