Our foundation as a traditional, yet modern place of education ensures our students gain from our experience and history through innovative pedagogy inspired by best practice. </p><p><b>Available for start July 2021 (or by negotiation) Learning Area Leader - Expressing - Arts (Music, Visual Arts, Drama) | TAS | Design &amp; Technology | VET | STEAM </b></p><p>A rare opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced leader for Expressing Learning Area. </p><p>Applicants for this role will ideally have:</p><ul><li>A high level of proficiency in subject expertise, knowledge of how students learn and differentiated pedagogical practice. </li><li>Exceptional rapport with children, parents, and staff to work collaboratively and creatively, ensuring the child is at the centre of the learning. </li><li>Postgraduate Qualifications in the field of the Arts and / or Design and Technology. </li><li>Proven pedagogical expertise and the ability to lead a team in the ongoing development of Teaching and Learning. </li><li>Working knowledge and understanding of independent and boarding school settings. </li></ul><p><i>Please note we are currently recruiting for an innovative and experience Head of Performing Arts K - 12 (Co-Curricular). We will consider a combined position for a suitable well qualified candidate.</i></p><p><b>The Role </b></p><p>The Learning Area Leader - Expressing, will focus on each student’s learning journey through curriculum areas; will be pedagogical coach and mentor; will encourage and foster innovation, excellence, and a focus on learning as well as teaching through the curriculum.
