<p>Established in 1977, Whittlesea Secondary College (WSC) is a co-educational government school, nestled next to the picturesque King Lake National Park not more than an hour from Melbourne CBD. The College has a strong history of providing students with a diverse and innovative curriculum over the past 40 years. Originally established as a Technical School, WSC has continued to develop an outstanding Trade Training facility on site to deliver Automotive, Engineering, Building and Construction VET courses. WSC values student empowerment and choice, fostering strong student leadership across the school. In an intentional repudiation of the traditional ‘one size fits all’ factory model of schooling, WSC gives control back to students by empowering them to design their own personalised learning pathways targeting the learning areas they are passionate about and wish to focus on to engender a better understanding of the world around us. </p><p>An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Leading Teacher to join a dynamic and future learning environment. The position offers the opportunity to lead the ongoing commitment to eLearning across the College. The successful applicant will be able to continue the development of our positive and exciting vision for technology in school, and adapt to a unique and inclusive school culture. They will enjoy working with and supporting staff to implement a range of technology tools as part of their teaching practice. Superior communication skills will be essential, as the successful applicant will organise and address large forums of students and parents. </p><p>Specifically, the successful candidate will have a proven ability to lead and support staff in the use of innovative technology in student learning. They will be familiar with best practice regarding school operations and policies related to eLearning and innovation. They will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and the confident to deliver professional learning and training to staff, parents and students. The ability to manage the 1:1 device program and induction and onboarding processes is essential. You will be appropriately qualified with suitable experience and a background relevant to the role. </p><p>The successful candidate will be an innovative and collaborative leader able to: </p><ul><li>Lead the planning and implementation of high impact teaching strategies, data analysis for learning and relevant curriculum </li><li>Lead the ongoing development and innovation of the ICT and eLearning strategy </li><li>Manage and oversee the ICT systems, services and projects </li><li>Collaborate and co-design digital learning experiences which support the College’s values and strategic aims. </li><li>Deliver an exceptional level of technical knowledge and ability to manage multiple projects </li><li>Demonstrate ability in leading teams, and develop positive professional relationships </li><li>Build capacity in others through leading, coaching and promoting professional learning </li></ul><p>It is a condition of employment that staff comply with all the policies and practices of the College, including child safety protection policies, and that conduct is consistent with the values of the College and Department of Education.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
