A Co-educational Catholic College serving the Macarthur area with an enrolment of approximately 1095 pupils.

<p dir="ltr">A temporary full time position commencing 10 May 2021 (start date negotiable) until 17 December 2021. The successful applicant will be required to teach Hospitality (Stage 6) (Kitchen Operations), Food Technology (Stage 6), Junior TAS and one junior Religious Education class.</p> <p dir="ltr">The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students to reach their full potential.</p> <p dir="ltr">ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li> <li dir="ltr">Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.</li> <li dir="ltr">Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.</li> <li dir="ltr">Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in [SOR/SICT] and [KLA(s)].</li> <li dir="ltr">Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.</li> <li dir="ltr">Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Aptitude and willingness to contribute to the broader life of Magdalene Catholic College whilst supporting the broad range of TAS and VET subjects on offer.</li> <li dir="ltr">Given that a couple of these classes will be shared with another staff member, the successful candidate will need to have good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a fellow teacher.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">&nbsp;GENERAL CAPABILITIES</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li> <li dir="ltr">Well-developed oral and written communication skills.</li> <li dir="ltr">Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li> <li dir="ltr">Strong organisational skills.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="text-align: left">Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).</li> <li dir="ltr">Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.</li> <li dir="ltr" style="text-align: left">The applicant must be accredited to teach with NESA.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p> <p dir="ltr">This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p> <p dir="ltr">POSITION APPLICATION</p> <p dir="ltr">Applicants are to complete an online application which asks to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).</p> <p dir="ltr">To submit your Application please select the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of this advertisement.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Closing date: 5 May 2021 at 9am</strong></p>
