We are seeking a skilled Primary Teacher to join the College, initially in Stage 3, for a Term 3, 2021 commencement.

<p>The College is seeking a passionate and highly skilled, permanent full-time Primary Teacher, teaching Stage 3 for a Term 3 start. As a Primary Teacher at William Clarke College, you will be responsible for delivering quality teaching and learning experiences that develop students as ‘extraordinary learners’. </p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b><br /></p><ul><li>Deliver quality teaching and learning experiences for students that develop deep understanding through exploring the ‘big ideas’ inherent in and across subject areas </li><li>Build learning relationships through employing restorative practices </li><li>Display a commitment to continued professional growth through self-reflection and further learning </li></ul><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Additional Responsibilities</b><br /></p><ul><li>Work collaboratively with your teaching partner to program, prepare and deliver lessons, as well as with other teachers across the grade </li><li>Complete standardised assessments as set by the College </li><li>Preparedness to engage with the College’s four pillared teaching and learning framework, including safe and supportive environment, explicit instruction, deep understanding and assessment for learning </li><li>Active participation and contribution to curriculum groups </li><li>Pastoral responsibility for class </li><li>Differentiating curriculum for a mixed ability classroom </li><li>Initiative in integration of digital technologies into the learning program </li><li>Delivering an integrated curriculum </li><li>Participation in planning and executing events as part of a Primary Events Team </li><li>Uphold the Christian teachings of the College, encouraging students to serve others and explore Christ </li><li>Active participation in co-curricular activities, as well as fulfilment of other duty of care responsibilities as directed by the College ? </li></ul><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Skills / Knowledge / Attributes</b><br /></p><ul><li>Regularly practicing member of a Christian church </li><li>Ability and confidence to openly share the Christian faith with students </li><li>Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with other teachers, and work as part of a team, including the ability to confidently and constructively debate ideas with your teaching partner </li><li>Demonstrated passion for child-centred learning, and proven ability to effectively engage students, together with excellent classroom management skills </li><li>Demonstrated understanding of the syllabus and assessment strategies </li><li>Work ethic reflecting a commitment to excellence in teaching </li><li>Experience in effective implementation of Synthetic Phonics, Spelling Mastery and Number Sense programs, desirable </li><li>Excellent organisation and planning skills; must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities within strict deadlines </li></ul><p><br /></p><p>For more information regarding the above role and to access our Employment Application Form, which must form part of your application, please refer to our website.<br /></p><p>William Clarke College is a child safe workplace; all successful candidates will be subject to a Working with Children Check prior to commencement. </p><p>Applications for this role close midday, <i><b>Monday 3 May 2021</b></i>.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
