<p>The Headmaster is seeking to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced Christian educator to this permanent full time position within the highly professional, dynamic and industrious Mathematics Faculty. </p><p> The successful applicant will need to be able to teach across all secondary stages with the ability to teach Extension 1 and 2 a distinct advantage. Staff of Macarthur are beneficiaries of well-resourced facilities, an Apple laptop computer (for the duration of employment) and a supportive Christian teaching environment. Candidates for this role will be required to demonstrate: <br /> • a passion for teaching and a deep knowledge of the syllabus content, particularly Stage 6, including Extension 1 and 2; <br /> • a passion for Mathematics and how it integrates with other subjects; • an innovative approach to teaching and learning; <br /> • a comprehensive understanding of classroom differentiation; • a commitment to detailed and timely feedback to students; and, <br /> • a deep understanding of how students think and learn. </p><p>The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate innovative use of ICT in teaching and learning, proficiency in writing teaching programmes and an understanding of best practice in student assessment and feedback. The desire to contribute to the outdoor education and co-curricular programmes that provides a rich experience for our students and a rewarding sense of job satisfaction for our teachers is imperative. </p>
