<p>The Association of Independent Schools of NSW (AISNSW) is the peak body supporting and representing independent schools in NSW and providing a range of services across the state. With the core values of integrity, professionalism, respect and collegiality, AISNSW seeks to further the ideals of independent education: choice, diversity, quality, opportunity and excellence. </p><p>AISNSW Consultants operate in a team-oriented environment. They work across a diverse range of schools of varying sizes, each with its own ethos and educational philosophy. </p><p>We are currently seeking a Consultant (part time 0.6) in Technologies 7-12 to join the Professional Services team. </p><p>We look for enthusiastic, dedicated and adaptable staff who demonstrate initiative and professional behaviour and support the purpose and values of the organisation. </p><p><b>Key Responsibilities </b></p><p>You will work closely within a team to: </p><ul><li>Provide advice, support and guidance to independent schools around Technologies Stages 4-6 and the integration of technology across and beyond the curriculum </li><li>Broker, establish and maintain connections with teachers, school leaders and other key stakeholders within your discipline area and beyond </li><li>Design and implement quality professional learning that is based upon principles of adult learning </li><li>Contribute to the organisation of major AISNSW conferences and events </li><li>Create support materials for schools and teachers </li><li>Represent AISNSW and the independent school sector on various committees and in a range of forums </li><li>Undertake other duties as required by the Chief Executive. </li></ul><p><b>Personal Attributes and Skills </b></p><p>To be successful in this position, you will need to: </p><ul><li>Demonstrate well-developed and effective interpersonal, relational, oral and written communication skills </li><li>Work confidently and capably both collaboratively and independently </li><li>Thrive in an energetic and dynamic team environment </li><li>Possess expertise in Technologies 7-12. Experience teaching Stage 6 Information Processes and Technology (IPT) and Software Design and Development (SDD) is desirable but not essential </li><li>Display highly developed organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting timelines </li><li>Demonstrate an understanding of the educational and legislative context of independent schools. </li></ul><p><b>Education and Experience </b></p><p>You will have: </p><ul><li>Experience and expertise in teaching the NSW Syllabuses for Technologies Stages 4, 5 and 6 </li><li>Skills in delivering professional learning to adults </li><li>Engagement with current educational research and its practical application </li><li>Expertise in building and strengthening professional relationships in diverse settings </li><li>An appreciation of the diversity of independent schools </li><li>High level of proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams. </li></ul><p><b>General conditions of the role </b></p><p><b>Hours of Work: </b>The role is part-time (0.6) </p><p><b>Annual Leave</b>: Four weeks annual leave (pro-rata) is provided.</p><p><b>Travel: </b>AISNSW Consultants support independent schools throughout NSW and some travel is an integral and expected component of the role. </p><p><b>Professional Learning:</b> We expect our Consultants to be lifelong learners with a commitment to strengthening education especially within the independent sector. AISNSW Consultants are encouraged to actively expand and enhance their own expertise through participation in ongoing professional learning that develops and supports career development into the future. </p><p><b>Reporting Line: </b>This role reports directly to the Head of Professional Services.
