The role, Senior School Officer exists to provide: <br/>• assistance to the Principal in the daily operation of the school, providing a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative, secretarial support and financial management of school e.g.. Collection of school fees and account payables. <br/>• coordination and implementation of enrolment processes and procedures <br/>• integration, cross matching and checking the integrity of data across a variety of school data bases <br/>• organisation and preparation of relevant archive material <br/>• supervision and organisation of Census Data <br/>• preparation of relevant documentation

<p> • support the ethos of Catholic education <br>• minimum of Certificate III in Business Administration or Frontline Management or demonstrated ability in a similar role <br>• excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills <br>• ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member <br>• ability to work tolerant of an environment with competing demands, interruption and where tasks need to be prioritised <br>• proven knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office <br>• capacity to direct and supervise support staff <br>• capacity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality <br>• attention to detail and high level of accuracy <br>• exercise substantial responsibility, independent judgement and initiative with a detailed knowledge of complex office procedures The Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, preventing those in our care from suffering abuse or neglect. All employees are required to undergo a National Police Check, retain a valid NSW Working with Children Check and ensure compliance with our safeguarding policies, the Diocesan Safeguarding Commitment Statement and the Code’s of Conduct. </p> <h3>Essential Criteria:</h3> <p> • minimum of two years relevant experience in finance / accounting <br>• record current Working With Children number on application <br>• applicants will need to comply with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead - formerly the Faith Education Accreditation (FEA) Policy 2012 and will need to work towards Accreditation at Category A – Accreditation to Work </p> <h3>Desirable Criteria:</h3> <p> • practising Catholic <br>• an understanding and previous experience in a school environment <br>• previous experience with programs: SAS, Compass and TechnologyOne. </p> <h3>Renumeration:</h3> <p> Salary is in accordance with New South Wales &amp; Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2020.
