Shellharbour Anglican College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced dynamic Christian educator to join its experienced team in an exciting new position Deputy Principal - Strategy and Innovation.

<h4>The Role </h4><p>In recognition of the projected growth in the student population and the increasing diversity in the College’s program and operations, Shellharbour Anglican College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced dynamic Christian educator to join its experienced team. This candidate will fill an exciting new position with the opportunity and responsibility to support the Principal’s drive to lift the College to the next level, while respecting and building on the solid foundations laid during its formative years. </p><p>The Deputy Principal – Strategy and Innovation will join the College Leadership Team, and guide implementation of the College’s Vision and Strategic Plan. In consultation with the Principal, the Deputy Principal – Strategy and Innovation will be responsible for the strategic leadership and management of innovation in teaching and learning, wellbeing programs and in faith integration across the College from Prep to Year 12. </p><h4>About Us </h4><p>Our College is a leading Prep to Year 12 co-educational school, set on a spacious green campus just to the south of Wollongong. Founded in a region steeped in cultural history, our school has grown steadily and sustainably since first opening its doors in 2004, to over 780 students; and is still experiencing rapid growth with an increasing number of families wanting to join us, either now or in the future. </p><p>Our Master Planning process is well underway to guide our future growth and development and build stronger connectivity and community across the College. We are also in the process of refreshing the visual branding for our College following extensive research and development. The dynamic role of the Deputy Principal – Strategy and Innovation is expected to be an evolving and developing one, with an overall mindset of growth and change. </b></p><p>To be successful in this role, you will bring: </p><ul><li>A high capacity to lead self and others in the collaborative delivery of innovation in teaching and learning, wellbeing support and in faith integration within the curriculum. </li><li>Excellent skills in communicating to staff, students and parents both orally and in writing, as well as through appropriate social and other digital media. </li><li>Produce high quality information that enables and empowers leadership decision making and fosters staff and stakeholder engagement. </li><li>A highly-developed capacity to lead effective teams in achieving common goals, objectives and outcomes. </li><li>Outstanding planning and organisational skills, demonstrating the ability to balance resources, timelines and priorities to achieve an objective. </li><li>Demonstrate skills in problem solving, including the ability to identify problems, question and seek to understand; the ability to identify alternative solutions, making appropriate decisions and identifying pathways to implement solutions. </li><li>Highly developed ability and experience in gathering, synthesising and analysing data and information from various sources; identifying trends and emerging issues; developing insights from data and information and delivering stories that explain insights. </li><li>Experience in active monitoring, evaluation and reporting of organisational initiatives or programs. </li><li>An ongoing commitment to your own personal and professional learning and self-development. </li><li>Experience in implementing current evidence-based educational research into practice and experience with a data informed approach to pedagogy and wellbeing. </li><li>A commitment to the development and sharing of your own faith and understanding of contemporary approaches to Christian education, together with the ability to offer spiritual leadership to adults, children and young people. </li></ul><p>If you have a keen interest in leading teaching, strategy and learning innovation, working with an ambitious and experienced team, then we would like to hear from you. </p><p>A comprehensive information brochure for this position outlining areas of responsibility and accountabilities, desirable personal qualities and the selection criteria is available online at <a href="https://www.shellharbourac.nsw.edu.au/deputyprincipal/" rel="nofollow">https://www.shellharbourac.nsw.edu.au/deputyprincipal/</a><a href="https://www.shellharbourac.nsw.edu.au/deputyprincipal/" rel="nofollow"></a></p><h4>Specific Conditions of Appointment</h4><p>The Deputy Principal – Strategy and Innovation will attract a Coordinator Level 4 Leadership allowance. </p><p>The Deputy Principal Strategy and Innovation will be expected to teach the equivalent of 0.2 of a full time teaching load in their area of expertise. </p><p>The Deputy Principal should also reasonably expect that s/he will be required to work flexible hours, including attendance at meetings and College functions as part of, or in addition to, normal working hours. A number of other duties and responsibilities will need to be performed at times other than during the school day or when students are in attendance. </p><p>This role description may be modified by the Principal, with the appointee’s agreement. </p><h4>How to apply </h4><p>Your application should be submitted in two parts: </p><ol><li>Your covering letter, in which you address the Selection Criteria.
