Responsible for leading and overseeing the implementation of key learning projects in schools and working with school leadership teams on the system learning agenda for VET

We are always on the lookout for top talent to help us achieve our strategic goal of inspiring the future, through quality catholic schooling and by strengthening the professional lives of our employees.<br><br><strong>About the opportunity:</strong></p> <p>The Leader of Learning VET is a valued member of our Learning Directorate and is accountable for coordinating the provision of Vocational Education and Training across multiple secondary schools as a delegate of the Registered Training Organisation and supporting additional pathways beyond VET. More specifically you will:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate the effective delivery and compliance of vocational education in regards to the standards and other requirements for the Registered Training Organisation (RTO), NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeships (SBAT) and System requirements within a cluster of schools</li> <li>Implement RTO policies, procedures and resources</li> <li>Provide specialist knowledge and expertise in working collaboratively as a member of each cluster schools’ curriculum leadership and VET teams to build capacity and sustainability of VET within the schools</li> <li>Develop the capacity of vocational education teachers in their pedagogy and industry skills and knowledge</li> <li>Coordinate the effective delivery of mandatory work placement</li> <li>Develop and support connections within and between schools and with industry, government, community and other RTOs for innovative opportunities for students</li> <li>Support additional pathways beyond VET</li> </ul> <p><strong>About you:<br></strong><br>To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of CEDP along with:<strong><br></strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate strong VET experience but offer more expansive expertise and knowledge for secondary pathways (ICT, e-learning)</li> <li>Strategic and innovative approach</li> <li>Be a leader and model strong leadership capabilities for your students</li> <li>A vision beyond effective teaching of the VET course</li> <li>Collaborate across our system and with industry partners to expand opportunties for our students</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work creatively and constructively to support diverse needs</li> <li>Ability to motivate students to achieve and to develop a life-long love of learning</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications and accreditations:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance</li> <li>Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li> <li>Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree)</li> <li>Statements of Service</li> </ul> <p>As part of your application information, please download the relevant documentation</p> <p><img src="https://az29734.vo.msecnd.net/static/people/icons/icon_file_small.gif" alt="Download File">&nbsp;<a href="https://secure.dc2.pageuppeople.com/apply/TransferRichTextFile.ashx?sData=UFUtVjMtv8jAtqgtn5_JI6kGc8MC4haNDjERym6lgZKbR0hcRDlQynQohgOamKOzMDg2fGCA13qvQBo-0G6qmJG7q0kK_BLS4nzw21su7S4lx4tvBp5sEwh0c6klyVU-BMG5m2id2eNt6VanI62V2W8t6X8n3w%7e%7e">Position Description - Leader of Learning VET (9) (1).pdf</a></p> <p dir="ltr">This position involves working with children.
