PDHPE Teacher (7-12) Temporary Part-Time (0.5) Maternity Leave Position. The successful candidate will be asked to work five days per fortnight for a period of approximately 12 months; however, this may change in accordance with the right of return of the member of staff on maternity leave.

<p>Broughton Anglican College is a leading Pre Kinder to Year 12 Independent School in the Macarthur region and provides exceptional educational opportunities to more than 1,000 students. Staff enjoy an innovative teaching environment with supportive peers, students and parents. </p><p>This position is a temporary part-time position commencing at the beginning of Term 2 2021. This is a part-time position replacing a member of staff who will be on maternity leave. The successful candidate will be asked to work five days per fortnight for a period of approximately 12 months; however, this may change in accordance with the right of return of the member of staff on maternity leave. </p><p>The successful candidate will assist the PDHPE Faculty, under the supervision of the Head of PDHPE, to develop and implement programs and maintain the high levels of achievement from our students in the PDHPE curriculum areas. </p><p>The College has implemented a BYOD environment and therefore the successful candidate </p><p>must be confident in the use of technology and willing to embrace it in order to enhance learning. </p><p>Core Values </p><p>• A committed Christian who will provide opportunities for students to develop an understanding of the Christian faith and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in adhering to the Christian stance and ethos of the College. </p><p>• An active member of a Bible-based church. </p><p>• An outstanding educator with a passion for and understanding of, working with children and adolescents. </p><p>The applicant is required to: </p><p>• demonstrate an excellent level of knowledge in the NSW 7–12 PDHPE syllabus and an understanding of the new syllabus. </p><p>• demonstrate an excellent level of skill in pedagogical practice incorporating a range of teaching techniques, with a focus on embedding formative assessment and inquiry-based learning. </p><p>• create a positive learning environment which challenges students to achieve academic and personal excellence. </p><p>As the College is a child safe organisation, the successful candidate will be required to provide a NSW Working With Children Check number and date of birth so that the College can verify that the candidate is permitted to teach in NSW schools. </p><p>The successful candidate is expected to provide evidence that they are a financial member of the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) and that their accreditation is current. </p><p>The successful candidate will be required to provide evidence that they are an active member of a Bible-based church. </p><p>A position profile has been provided for more information. </p><p>To Apply </p><p>Complete and submit the Application Form – Teacher Application </p><p>Applicants are asked to provide the following information to support their application: </p><p>• at least one professional reference or referee </p><p>• a current reference from the minister of the church that they are presently attending.
