<p> Applications are invited from qualified educators for this exciting role in a well-resourced school for the position of Permanent Full Time Primary DIVERSE LEARNING Teacher.</p><p>We are a Catholic primary school with a commitment to providing quality education and care to the students and families in our community. </p><p> </p><p>We seek a teacher who will strive to meet the needs of our students in a caring and supportive environment.<br /></p><p> </p><p>We welcome applications from qualified primary teachers who:<br /></p><ul><li>Have a knowledge of and commitment to the Mission of the Catholic School </li><li>Have the required Religious Education qualifications </li><li>Demonstrate a high standard of proficiency, competency and enthusiasm as a teacher </li><li>The ability to cater for students of different abilities and needs </li><li>Have an ongoing commitment to professional development </li><li>Are committed and able to contribute to the development of whole school initiatives </li><li>Are passionate about working with children, families and colleagues in a caring Christ centered community. </li><li>An understanding of and an ability to support the Catholic life of the school. </li><li>Possess strong interpersonal and organisational skills.</li></ul><p>The successful applicant will be a highly effective teacher who demonstrates the following: </p><ul><li>Qualifications and/or experience in Special Education - Diverse Learning </li><li>The ability to collaboratively lead the Diverse Learning Team within an inclusive education model of service delivery </li><li>The ability to work collaboratively in leading the Wellbeing Team within an inclusive education model of service delivery </li><li>Ability to action student support referrals from teachers, including engagement with parents, students and external specialists; administering standardised tests; interpreting specialist reports; and making recommendations </li><li>Ability to liaise with parents, school staff, and outside agencies to support individual students with specific learning needs </li><li>The ability to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate high quality individualised educational programs, inclusive of adjustments </li><li>An ability to coordinate and maintain the data collection for NCCD, to the highest standard </li><li>An understanding of the Disability Standards for Educators (2005) and the Sydney Catholic Schools compliance requirements for schools </li><li>An understanding of NESA requirements for Disability Provisions </li><li>Maintaining thorough and accurate documentation </li><li>Knowledge and understanding of and experience in using the PPT (Special Needs tool) </li><li>Experience and expertise in leading professional learning opportunities for the staff in the area of diverse learning </li></ul><p>Child Protection Legislation requires preferred applicants to be subject to employment screening. </p><p>Applications are to be emailed to the Principal and should include referees who will be contacted by telephone. </p><p>Applications close: Thursday 22nd April, 2021 </p><p>Position commences: Monday 3rd May, 2021 </p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
