Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW) comprises 38 Catholic schools with more then 19,000 students enrolled across the Illawarra, Macarthur, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands regions.

<p>The Director of Schools invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for this full time position with Catholic Education, Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW) commencing as soon as possible.&nbsp; &nbsp;The employment contract for this role will continue until December 2023.&nbsp; After this time, in consultation with the incumbent, they will be appointed to a permanent suitable teaching position within a CEDoW secondary school.</p> <p>As a member of the School Improvement Services - Secondary team (SIS-S), the Professional Officer will support, challenge and extend the practice and pedagogy of teachers and leaders in Diocesan schools to ensure compliance requirements are met and to bring about improvement in student learning and achievement</p> <p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>A deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic school within the broader evangelising mission of the Catholic Church.</li> <li>Bachelor Degree in Education (or suitably related discipline).</li> <li>Leadership experience across a range of stages and in Key Learning Areas – HSIE or English or PDHPE or a combination of these Key Learning Areas.</li> <li>Successful leadership experience at a whole school level, across a curriculum &amp;/or pedagogical context.</li> <li>Proven success in building a culture of learning growth in a school setting.</li> <li>Familiarity and commitment to Lighting the Way Vision &amp; Strategic Direction of CEDoW<em>.</em></li> <li>Knowledge and understanding of what works best in education,&nbsp;syllabus implementation, teaching and learning programs, assessment and reporting.</li> <li>Capacity to analyse system and school data to identify areas of high performance and emerging issues in learning, teaching and curriculum.</li> <li>Capacity to recognise and employ appropriate strategies to support teachers and leaders to develop collaborative, high quality effective learning culture.</li> <li>Outstanding interpersonal skills that can positively influence change and growth in others.</li> <li>Ability to lead and work collaboratively in a team environment.</li> <li>Commitment to met the requirements of Work, Teach &amp; Lead accreditation.</li> </ul> <p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p> <p>This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p> <p>POSITION APPLICATION&nbsp;</p> <p>Applicants are to complete an online application which asks to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).&nbsp; To confidentially discuss your application contact John Lo Cascio, Head of School Improvement Services - Secondary, on 4253 0831.</p> <p><em>The Catholic Education Office is an agency of the Catholic Church called to stewardship and service in support of the system of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wollongong.
