Learning Support Officers - Year 4 and Year 5 and Year 6 Year 4 - 24.32 hours per week (0.64 FTE) - Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri - 9:00am - 3:30pm Year 5 - 18.24 hours per week (0.48 FTE) - Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri - 9:00am - 2:00pm Year 6 - 18.24 hours per week (0.48 FTE) - Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri - 9:00am - 2:00pm

<p>St Bernadette&#39;s embraces the richness and diversity of its multicultural community. We value strong partnerships between students, families, staff and the parish, as we build upon our Catholic faith and identity, our traditions, our learning and teaching and the wellbeing of all.</p><p>We are seeking 3 enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Officers to join our school community. The positions are in Year 4 and Year 5. It is anticipated these roles will begin in Week 3 or 4 of Term 2, and are for the remainder of the 2021 school year. There is a possibility that these positions will become ongoing positions after this year.</p><p>The successful applicant will:<br /></p><ul><li>demonstrate a passion for working with children<br /></li><li>demonstrate a capacity to work as an LSO supporting teaching staff, working collaboratively with classroom teachers to implement learning tasks to meet the needs of children with a range of learning difficulties<br /></li><li>demonstrate a willingness and capacity to work with students with learning and/or social-emotional challenges, providing support to individuals or small groups being resourceful and using own initiative as required<br /></li><li>possess a high level of patience and emotional maturity in order to manage students with various levels of learning or behavioural challenges<br /></li><li>demonstrate an understanding of the work of Catholic schools and a willingness to actively contribute to a range of school activities</li><li>possess an understanding of positive behaviour management strategies<br /></li><li>demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the school&#39;s Child Safe policy and Code of Conduct.<br /></li></ul><p>St Bernadette&#39;s School community is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.</p><p>In applying for a position with Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS), you will be asked to provide certain personal information to enable your application to be considered.
