State HR Partner, Full-Time, permanent position. Sydney based

</p><p><b>ABOUT THE ROLE
</b></p><p>Based at our National Head Office in Sydney Olympic Park, the State HR Partner helps to build and sustain an engaged, high-performing workforce, providing responsive and proactive, generalist support and advice for staff and management spread over 12 campuses across NSW.
</p><p>In this role you will actively contribute to the broader HR operational excellence agenda evolving policies and processes, implementing systems, and supporting talent management programs.
</p><p><b>KEY FOCUS AREAS:
</b></p><ul><li>Providing day-to-day advice and support to the NSW Senior Educational Leadership Teams in all aspects of human resources management and employee relations.
</li><li>Supporting leaders to manage employee relations issues in line with school policies and best practice, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence management.
</li><li>Working closely with the Recruitment Partner to manage hiring requirements efficiently and effectively, including innovating to source high-calibre talent.
</li><li>Actively partner with staff and management to identify areas of risk and opportunities for improvement to staff engagement and performance.
</li><li>Develop, evolve, and maintain regular monthly reports and dashboards covering key people priorities for campuses and departments.
</li><li>Leading and reporting on workforce planning and budgeting processes in conjunction with State and National Leadership.
</li><li>Ensure staff information is administered effectively and accurately in the Dayforce HRIS.
</li><li>Recommending and implementing improvement initiatives relating to HR policies, processes, systems, and legislative changes, with a view to positive staff experience.
</li><li>Understand and interpret relevant legislation to enable effective staff relations and compliance.
</li><li>Work collaboratively with payroll operations to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes.
</li><li>Flagging emerging, significant issues to the HR Manager and relevant leadership.
</li><li>Periodically travelling to campus sites in NSW to support and engage with staff.
</li><li>Working respectfully with the OneSchool Code of Conduct.
</li></ul><p>EXPERIENCE
</p><ul><li>Tertiary qualifications and/or 5+ years’ experience in a broad HR generalist capacity.
</li><li>Experience in a partnering role, providing advisory and coaching for staff, managers, and leaders and influencing positively at all levels.
</li><li>Experience with HR information systems, in delivery of operational HR support.
</li><li>Proven experience transitioning strategic initiatives into the day-to-day operations.
</li><li>Demonstrated experience with interpreting and applying knowledge of awards and/or other industrial agreements, providing advice to management and employees.
</li><li>Ideally, experience in the school or education sector.
