<p>St Francis Xavier Catholic School is a small school located in the lovely Nauiyu Aboriginal Community on the Daly River. Situated only 2 ½ hrs drive from Darwin on a sealed road. We have 4 teaching staff, two full time support staff and 10 local assistant teachers. The school has small class sizes and features great facilities. Every classroom has access to the internet and is fitted with laptops, iPads and interactive whiteboards. English is the second or third language for most students at the school, Teachers work as members of a team in partnership with local Aboriginal people and Local Assistant Teachers. Staff members live in close proximity to each other and the school. The standard of accommodation is great, full power and water is supplied. </p><p>We require an enthusiastic, innovative teacher for our Year 8-10 Classroom. Either secondary or primary teachers are encouraged to apply! You do not have to be Catholic but you do need to be willing to support the mission of St Francis Xavier Catholic School. </p><p>Requirements: </p><p>• Ability to plan, prepare and deliver teaching programs to meet diverse needs and learning styles of students, which are consistent with current educational trends and curriculum policies </p><p>• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with students, families, fellow team members and the broader community </p><p>• Ability to plan and apply appropriate behaviour management strategies that contribute to establishing great relationships with students and maintaining a supportive learning environment </p><p>• A willingness and receptiveness to self-learning and development </p><p>• Current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory- or ability to gain </p><p>• Current OCHRE card ability to gain (WWCC) </p><p><br /></p>
