We are seeking a suitably qualified, passionate and experienced leader for the role of Deputy Principal\Student Wellbeing to start in Term 2 as soon as possible.

<p> </p><div><br /></div><div>The role is a full-time ongoing teaching position with tenure for the role of Deputy Principal - Student Wellbeing concluding at the end of the 2022 school year. </div><div><br /></div><div><b>Role Description </b></div><div>The Deputy Principal supports the Principal in the school&#39;s leadership, working collaboratively to develop the Catholic identity of the school community and to implement the school&#39;s vision for learning. </div><div>The Deputy Principal shares with the Principal in all aspects of the school’s leadership and management and takes responsibility for the school in the Principal’s absence. </div><div><br /></div><div>As a key member of the School Leadership Team, the Deputy Principal shares responsibility for leadership of the school’s vision, mission, and improvement agenda, which reflects the school&#39;s Catholic nature.</div><div><br /></div><div>The Deputy Principal is in constant contact with staff, students and parents of our parish, promoting by word and action a positive influence that is in line with the teaching and values of our Church community. </div><div><br /></div><div>The Deputy Principal contributes significantly to the Catholic life of the school, the development of a professional learning community, the overall management of the school and compliance requirements in all areas.<br /></div><div><br /></div><div><b>Requirements:</b></div><div>Applicant should be able to demonstrate:<br /></div><ul><li>a strong commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school and the spiritual, emotional, social and educational wellbeing of all students</li><li>a proven ability to act in a senior leadership role in a Catholic School environment.</li><li>the ability to work and lead in a variety of team situations.</li><li>excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate productively to staff, students and the community.</li><li>commitment to child safety, maintaining best practices to ensure this, and ongoing evaluation of these practices.</li></ul><div>The successful applicant needs to: </div><div><br /></div><ul><li>have successful experience in a deputy principal or similar leadership role in a Catholic primary school</li><li>experience in a range of educational settings</li><li>postgraduate qualifications and a commitment to ongoing professional learning</li><li>accreditation to teach in a Catholic school /Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school</li><li>Current VIT registration</li><li>Knowledge of the Child Safe Standards and of the expectations of a staff member in adhering to them</li><li>have read and be committed to maintaining the standards as set out in our Child Safe Code of Conduct</li><li>have read, and be aware of, the attached statement on the &#39;Principles Regarding Catholic Education&#39;.</li></ul><div><br /></div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div>
