As Acting Principal you are responsible to the Executive Chair for the management, good order and quality of performance of the College and the educational and pastoral welfare of the students and staff.

<p>Emerald Christian College is a co-educational college offering Prep to Year 12. </p><p>Current Enrollments: 225 students </p><p>Commencement: 10 May 2021. </p><p>Duration: It is envisaged that this position will run for approximately 3 to 6 months. </p><p>Reporting to: The Acting Principal will report to the Executive Chair Mr Tony Harrold, who is temporarily overseeing the company&#39;s operations during this time of transition to a new Executive Principal. </p><p>Governing Body: GEMS Christian Education Limited </p><p>Location: Emerald, in the heart of the Central Highlands, QLD Australia. </p><p>Emerald is the hub of the Central Highlands in Central Queensland, 90 minutes flight from Brisbane. It is the major services provider to all outer lying areas and is very diversified in its production, from cereal cropping, beef cattle production, extensive irrigation areas of cotton, citrus, grapes, and ever-increasing coal mining development to social support services and gemstone mining. </p><p>ECC was founded in 2001 by and remains in close association with Hopelands Church: </p><p><b>Exploring More about ECC </b></p><p>Facebook Page: </p><p>Website </p><p><b>More About The Central Highlands </b></p><p>See the youtube links to discover more about our great region to work and live in. </p><p> Video promoting Emerald and the Central Highlands and it features an ECC family. </p><p>;PA9-BfAFiAQ </p><p>Another video featuring the agricultural aspects of the region. </p><p>;jKM9PA811lc </p><p><b>The Position </b></p><p>As Acting Principal you are responsible to the Executive Chair for the management, good order and quality of performance of the College and the educational and pastoral welfare of the students and staff. </p><p><b>The Role </b></p><p>Lead a teaching and learning environment that maximises the opportunities for each student to excel in accord with their God-given talents; </p><p>Recruit, develop and motivate a team of high-performing Christian teaching, administrative, support and co-curricular staff; </p><p>Facilitate the School’s culture that promotes the values of the organisation; </p><p>Maintain and encourage Christ-like care for all elements of the Community; </p><p>Work closely with Executive Board Chair to inspire and initiate development and adherence to the strategic plan; </p><p>Ensure the exercise of sound financial management and that the physical resources for teaching and learning are developed and maintained to the highest standard at all times; </p><p>Establish effective practices for enhancing the engagement with and participation of the community in the life of the college; </p><p>Promote, develop and maintain the reputation and standing in the community of the College and associated operations; </p><p>Ensure compliance with all legal obligations; </p><p>Act as the official spokesperson of the College and represent the College in the broader community. </p><p>Ability to live out the Christian values of the company. </p><p>The continued success of our company depends greatly on dedicated Christian staff members who integrate their faith into the values and behaviours of their personal and community life.
