Boarding at Scots offers a home-away-from-home experience for our Boarders and is designed to provide students with a homely environment whilst offering access to a range of facilities to keep them engaged in their learning and personal development.</p><p><b>Available for start by Term 4 2021 – Director of Boarding </b></p><p>A rare opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced leader for our Boarding Houses. </p><p><b>Director of Boarding - commencing by Term 4 2021</b><br /></p><p>Applicants for this role will ideally have:</p><p>• Tertiary qualifications focusing on Leadership, Health, Wellbeing, or education (preferred) together with current NSW Registration or eligibility for NSW Teacher Registration. </p><p>• Experience in developing and implementing quality contemporary Boarding strategies, practices, policies, and procedures to ensure best practice and operational effectiveness. </p><p>• Experience in developing and implementing wellbeing programs for students (as a coordinator of students or team leader).</p><p>The Role </p><p>The Director of Boarding works alongside the Heads of House, Boarding Assistants and further Boarding staff and is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and Wellbeing Teams; incorporating these roles into the overall wellbeing and academic progress of Boarders and the ongoing success of the Boarding Houses. Naturally, the position will require extensive communication with boarding families and a positive approach to development opportunities for both the structure and purpose of boarding at Scots. </p><p>The Director of Boarding is responsible for ensuring the experience of Boarding at Scots is an engaging and rewarding one. The aim is to empower boarders to be confident and capable young people in an atmosphere of warmth, support, and care. </p><p>The position requires a teaching role of approximately 0.4FTE.
