All Saints’ College, Maitland is seeking a temporary part-time (26 hours/week) School Officer – Finance Assistant to join the school community commencing in Term 1, 2022. All Saints’ College is a coeducational year 7-12 Catholic School which is part of the Catholic Schools Office, Maitland Newcastle Diocese. Approximately 1500 students and 200 staff spread across 2 campuses, we are the largest school in our diocese and one of the largest Catholic Schools in the state. St Peter’s Campus caters for our year 7-10 students, and St Mary’s Campus caters for our senior students in years 11 and 12. We are a community committed to a safe and supportive environment nurturing the formation of the whole person celebrating continual growth and success. <p> The School Officer – Finance Assistant will support the Finance Officer, School Executive and School Staff in the day to day finance and administration tasks associated with the school and ensure that all tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner to support the financial management of the school. The School Officer – Administration and Finance will be required to demonstrate a strong understanding of financial management tasks, strong attention to detail; the highest degree of confidentiality and a commitment to continuous improvement. The Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle has an abiding commitment to promoting the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults - particularly those who participate in the life of the Diocese. All employees are required to undergo a National Police Check and, where legislated, hold a Working with Children Check. Diocesan workers are expected to personally adopt and enact the Diocese’s Safeguarding Commitment Statement. </p> <h3>Essential Criteria:</h3> <p> • Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schools. <br>• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite especially Microsoft Word and Excel <br>• Ability to process financial transactions using computerised software <br>• Ability to assist the College Finance Officer in the preparation of accounts for school fees and sundry items <br>• Proven ability to be responsible for effective cash handling and assist with processing banking for all payments received <br>• Capacity to assist school staff with finance related queries and tasks as required for example sourcing quotes for buses, camps, equipment etc. <br>• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team <br>• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to manage several tasks concurrently <br>• Ability to work tolerant of an interrupted working environment <br>• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy levels <br>• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including a pleasant telephone manner Applicants must provide evidence of the following: <br>• A current First Aid certificate <br>• Paid Working With Children Check (WWCC) </p> <h3>Desirable Criteria:</h3> <p> • Previous SAS or TechOne experience’ <br>• Experience working in a school environment or a similar role </p> <h3>Renumeration:</h3> <p> Salary is in accordance with New South Wales &amp; Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2020. </p> <h3>Additional Info:</h3> <p> To apply: Please provide a cover letter (maximum 3 pages) addressing the selection criteria along with your resume and directly to College Principal – Marc Romano marc.romano@mn.catholic.edu.au Applicants should nominate at least two (2) referees two of whom must be the person's current principal and previous supervisor.
