Rivergum is a small, growing regional College seeking a 3 month contract cover of our Office Manager position.

<p>The Office Manager provides administration support as requested by the Principal; maintains effective communication and information management with other staff as well as the wider school community; is the principal First Aid Officer to students and staff and always presents themselves in a professional and courteous manner.</p><p><b>Role Description &amp; Position Duration<br /></b>We are seeking a temporary Office Manager to cover a 3-month maternity leave position from Monday 22nd March – Friday 23rd July 2021.</p><p><b>Responsibilities in Detail</b><br /></p><p><i>Front line communications and service<br /></i>• answering incoming calls and delivering messages as needed; greeting all visitors and ensuring they sign in and out; ensuring students who are late or leave early are signed in or out by their parent/guardian<br />• processing incoming and outgoing mail<br />• keeping the Front Office and foyer neat and tidy<br />• accepting and receipting cash and EFTPOS payments</p><p><i>PA<br /></i>• secretarial duties to the Principal as required, including maintaining the Principal’s diary by arranging interviews, functions, visits etc<br />• handling and processing confidential mail/faxes/emails</p><p> </p><p><i>Admin<br /></i>• maintaining the School staff calendar<br />• maintaining the School’s student and parent database<br />• producing class and staff contact lists when required<br />• producing various rosters as required<br />• producing, printing and distributing the school newsletter<br />• producing, printing and distributing other school notices as required<br />• general administration duties relating to the everyday running of the school including filing and archiving, photocopying, printing etc<br />• checking orders received against their invoices and distributing goods to the correct area<br />• stationery ordering, sorting, issuing and stock control</p><p><i>Uniforms<br /></i>• ordering and maintaining the student uniform supply, including sales, stocktake &amp; supplier liaison</p><p><i>Registrar<br /></i>• processing enrolment enquiries including producing, printing and sending prospectus/enrolment packs; conducting campus tours (as required), arranging interview times, processing enrolment applications<br />• processing student transfers as students arrive or leave the College</p><p><i>Other<br /></i>• principal First Aid Officer to staff and students (requires Emergency First Aid Certificate)<br />• staff kitchen supply maintenance and other ad-hoc administration duties as they arise.</p><p><b>Programs used:<br /></b>• Microsoft Office 365<br /><b>• </b>School Management Software (on-site training for the successful applicant)</p><p><b>Person Requirements<br /></b>The applicant we are looking for will be:<br />• a Christian actively involved in the Christian church<br />• dynamic, flexible and able to work collaboratively<br />• keen to work in partnership with families<br />• willing to embrace and implement a student-centred, transformational methodology while promoting accountability<br />• part of a small, dedicated staff team with a servant attitude<br />• understanding and supportive of our transformational discipline approach</p><p>It is expected that applicants will:<br />• have experience and/or qualifications in Administration/Business or other relevant training<br />• hold a current First Aid certificate (including CPR, asthma &amp; anaphylaxis management)<br />• have completed Responding to Abuse and Neglect training<br />• have or be willing to undergo a Working With Children Check<br />• have well-developed interpersonal skills<br />• be proficient in ICT, preferably in Office 365</p><p>We also encourage and promote professional learning activities, including the completion of a Certificate of Christian Education, attending various conferences, workshops, training days, and making use of the College’s subscription to the Teacher Learning Network. </p><p>Staff at Rivergum maintain a personal relationship with God, pray for one another and students, lead staff devotions and take part in chapel services. Participation in surveys, appraisals and performance management processes is standard. </p><p><b>About Us<br /></b>Rivergum Christian College is a small but growing F-12 school in South Australia&#39;s Riverland region, east north east of Adelaide. We are the Riverland’s only independent, non-denominational Christian school with combined primary and secondary students. Our enrolment numbers around 100 students, with approx. 25 staff. Staff members are expected to actively support the Christian aims of the College.</p><p>We are part of the Christian Education National (CEN) network and the AISSA (Association of Independent Schools South Australia). </p><p>We approach education from a transformational viewpoint, desiring to support students by engaging in structured but diverse learning programs to build their capabilities. This is supplemented with strong accountability and responsibility in learning. We also appreciate the diverse range of learning styles among our students and want to encourage this individual thought and expression. </p><p>In the last five years, we have expanded from a primary years-only school into a full F-12 College, the only one of its kind within 200km. We are a ‘parent-controlled’ school governed by a Board who is elected from our Association membership who represent a range of Christian denominations.
