St Patrick’s Primary School is seeking to employ the services of a Compliance and Risk Management Officer. The Compliance and Risk Management Officer will support the school in meeting a range of compliance requirements. This role is a part-time (10 hours per week), fixed-term position commencing ASAP for the remainder of the 2021 school year.

<p>St Patrick&#39;s is committed to the safety, wellbeing and care of all children and upholds all child safe standards as an expectation of all in the school community. Staff are required to meet child safe checks as part of the application process. </p><p>MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY </p><ul><li>Maintenance and review of Risk Registers for the school. </li><li>Catholic Education Commission of Victoria and respective Ministries Compliance. </li><li>Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority Compliance. </li><li>Work Health &amp; Safety, including the provision of training to staff. </li><li>Maintenance of Risk and Compliance Management. </li><li>Human Resources assistance where applicable. </li><li>Management of contractors and maintenance </li></ul><p>KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES </p><ul><li>Ability to work as part of a team. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with confidence in presenting to groups of people. </li><li>Good oral and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with children, parents and the school community. </li><li>Experience in policy development and advanced policy writing skills, with strong attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to manage complex tasks with minimal supervision. </li><li>Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders. </li><li>Capacity to work to tight timelines. </li><li>Proven capacity to work independently. </li><li>Sound organisational skills including strong attention to detail. </li><li>Proven time-management skills. </li><li>Leadership qualities. </li><li>Self-motivation. </li><li>Ability and willingness to accept policy directives. </li><li>Collegial approach to managing OHS, fostering understanding and ownership </li></ul><p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE </p><ul><li>Sound knowledge of Work, Health and Safety legislation as it applies to the educational setting. </li><li>Experience in system development and maintenance. </li><li>Previous experience in policy creation. </li><li>Knowledge of Risk Management processes. </li><li>Capacity to participate in strategic planning relevant to OH&amp;S, Safety Improvement Plans. </li><li>Knowledge of Injury Management requirements as they apply to an educational setting. </li><li>Proven OH&amp;S auditing skills </li><li>Background in training and assessment. </li></ul><p>SELECTION CRITERIA </p><ol><li>Appropriate academic qualifications, suitable experience and a background relevant to the role.</li><li>Understanding and commitment to the philosophy and spirituality of a Catholic school.</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to a child-safe environment, familiarity with the compliance of the respective school’s child-safe policy and code of conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety. </li></ol><p>To apply, please attach your resume including relevant referees and a cover letter outlining the key skills and experience you’ll bring to the position and email to John Grant at principal&#64;spgeelongwest.catholic.edu.au. </p><p>Applications close Tuesday 16th March 2021.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
