<p>This position is a 12 month fulltime position commencing in March 2021. Starting date is negotiable.</p><p>Hours: Monday - Friday 8.00am - 3.30pm</p><p>Marcellin College is seeking to appoint an energetic and passionate Learning Support Officer to join a highly professional and collaborative team of educators. </p><p>Successful applicants for this position will have a demonstrated record of developing positive relationships with students.<br /></p><p><strong>Essential criteria for successful applicants:</strong></p><p>- A working understanding of, and overt commitment to the ethos of a Catholic School in the Marist tradition</p><p>-  Experience in working with small groups of students in secondary education</p><p>- The capacity and commitment to work collaboratively with the Learning Support team, classroom teachers and students<br /></p><p>- The capacity to assist individual students with special needs in the classroom</p><p>- The capacity to contribute to the preparation of documentation required under legislation in line with privacy and confidentiality obligations</p><p>- The capacity to contribute to course materials for special needs students</p><p>- Computer skills involving PC&#39;s and iPads<br /></p> <p><strong>Requirements for position:</strong><br /></p> <p> - Senior First Aid Certificate</p><p>- WWCC Clearance</p><p>- Classification to work in Sydney Catholic Schools</p><p>- Certificate III in Education Support is highly desirable<br /></p> <p><br /></p>
