We are always on the lookout for top talent to help us achieve our strategic goal of inspiring the future, through quality catholic schooling and by strengthening the professional lives of our employees.</p> <p>To ensure creation and implementation of a risk management framework across Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP), we are seeking an experienced Risk Manager.</p> <p><strong>About the opportunity:</strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify">An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Risk Manager to join our Governance, Risk and Strategy team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will be accountable for the oversight of risks management across CEDP and embedding risk management across operations. You will also be responsible to coordinate risk management responses required to identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor strategic risks and support service areas with the management of operational risks. More specifically you will be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Developing and implementing the risk management framework across CEDP.</li> <li>Evaluating potential risks and opportunities so that CEDP is able to determine how to effectively manage risks and maximise the opportunities.</li> <li>Working with risk owners in performing risk assessments, conducting incident investigations, and assisting CEDP teams to create sound controls and measure effectiveness as well as managing internal and external stakeholder relationships to maintain productive networks.</li> <li>Using data analysis to contribute to the development of risk detection models, controls, indicators of risk and action plans.</li> <li>Working in collaboration with the team to ensure risk management is integrated to the internal audit functions to provide assurance and there is alignment with CEDP policies and procedures and CEDP strategy and corporate governance.</li> <li>Overseeing operational risk management activities</li> </ul> <p><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify">To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the purpose and core values of CEDP along with:</p> <ul> <li>Tertiary qualification in a relevant area of study</li> <li>Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role</li> <li>Stakeholder management experience</li> <li>Strong analytical skills.</li> <li>Demonstrated negotiation, conflict management and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Strategic thinking and problem solving skills</li> <li>Excellent written and communication skills <br><br></li> </ul> <p style="text-align: justify">We believe that our employee community is a key strength of our organisation and we aim to attract the best talent to achieve our strategic goal of being leaders in quality, faith-based education and an Employer of Choice in our sector.
