Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and share in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.

<p>Gilroy Catholic College is looking for a passionate teacher, skilled in contemporary learning practice, to deliver professional learning and support to classroom teachers in making appropriate adjustments for students with disabilities.</p> <p><strong>Key focus areas</strong></p> <p>This is a non classroom position. The Diversity Coach has the responsibility for building the capacity of classroom teachers to make appropriate adjustments for students with disabilities.</p> <p>. Assist individual teachers to tailor appropriate learning activities for students with disabilities.</p> <p>. Liaise with faculties to develop or review programs to include appropriate adjustments for students with disabilities.</p> <p>. Build the capacity of New Scheme teachers to understand the importance of making appropriate adjustments.</p> <p>. Build the capacity of teaching staff to implement a range of quality adjustments for students with a range of disabilities.</p> <p>. Experience in supporting students with Mental Health an advantage.</p> <p>. Experience in learning support an advantage.</p> <p><strong>The successful candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:</strong></p> <p>. A strong commitment to the Catholic faith in practice and lifestyle, witness and modelling</p> <p>. Actively support the College goals</p> <p>. Work effectively as part of the Learning Support faculty team</p> <p>. Use data to support improved student learning outcomes</p> <p>. Differentiate learning to meet diverse learning needs</p> <p>. Have completed classification with the CEDP</p> <p>.
