The Diversity Teacher is accountable for supporting CEDP's Strategic Intent of improving learning outcomes for all students and promoting a professional and rewarding working life for teachers.

We are always on the lookout for top talent to help us achieve our strategic goal of inspiring the future, through quality catholic schooling and by strengthening the professional lives of our employees.</p> <p><strong>About the opportunity:</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a passionate High Support Needs Teacher to join our established teaching team within ‘Wiyanga’. The newly completed learning space is open to students from all over the Diocese who have a diagnosis of moderate intellectual disability as a primary disability and low adaptive functioning. More specifically you will:</p> <ul> <li>Creating inclusive practice in school culture in relation to the effective implementation of personalised learning and adjustments for students with additional needs and disability</li> <li>Understanding and implementing the Personalised Planning process</li> <li>Providing specialised teaching support services to schools aimed at building teacher capacity using a gradual release model</li> <li>Providing expert advice to leadership teams, teachers and the wider system on matters related to specific disabilities and/or additional needs in accordance with CEDP guidelines</li> <li>Working collaboratively to ensure inclusion, access and participation and to maximise learning outcomes for students with additional needs</li> </ul> <p><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p>To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of CEDP along with:</p> <ul> <li>Have a sound understanding of the learning needs of children and a demonstrated empathy for students with individual learning needs</li> <li>Be able to implement specialised learning programs and engage students in a vibrant differentiated education program</li> <li>Show a genuine appreciation and commitment to overall well-being of students</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications and accreditations:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance</li> <li>Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li> <li>Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree)</li> </ul> <p>We believe that our employee community is a key strength of our organisation and we aim to attract the best talent to achieve our strategic goal of being leaders in quality, faith-based education and an Employer of Choice in our sector.
