<p>The Visual Arts and Design Technology Assistant supports teachers in providing support for the Department and students by servicing, supplying and coordinating resources and equipment across the Visual Arts, Design and Technology studios.</p><p>Selection Criteria</p><ul><li>Relevant experience/skills required to support Learning and Teaching with a focus on Visual Arts, Design and Technology.  </li><li>Expertise or working knowledge of the Arts in a community context. Possibly as a practising artist or as part of Arts/Creative Arts/Design and Media network. </li><li>A proactive approach to support the Visual Arts curriculum including understanding of the needs of school students. </li><li>Capacity to use initiative and be motivated to carry out tasks with a minimum of supervision. </li><li>Proven capacity to operate effectively in the face of changing priorities, deadlines and pressure. </li><li>An ability to deal and liaise professionally with staff and students to support positive learning outcomes and operational requirements.  </li><li>Collaborative and team oriented. </li><li>Demonstrated organisational, curation or visual presentation skills  </li><li>Intermediate level ICT skills  </li><li>Qualifications in Visual Art, Visual Communication and Design or Technology, Art History or Community Development desirable.  </li><li>Must hold a current driver&#39;s license and current Victoria Police Check and a Working with Children&#39;s Card. </li></ul>
