<p>The College is seeking to appoint a Gifted &amp; Talented Coordinator. This position will attract a 2-point time and remuneration allocation and will commence in Term 1, 2021.</p><p><b>About the role:</b></p><p>This Gifted &amp; Talented Coordinator position will attract a capable and creative educator who has a passion for innovative leadership and improved student engagement by building teacher capacity for G&amp;T learners (Newman program). As a leader of the College G&amp;T Team, this Coordinator is also a member of the College Curriculum Leaders’ Team. As a member of Marist Sisters’ College, the role requires a commitment to support a positive religious and cultural Catholic school environment for aspiring young women in the Marist tradition.</p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Giving active leadership in contemporary teaching and learning learning practices to build teacher capacity to extend and challenge gifted &amp; talented learners;</li><li>Facilitating the College G&amp;T Newman Program for G&amp;T learners;</li><li>Facilitating the ongoing development of differentiated pedagogy and assessment for G&amp;T learners which is informed by evidence-based approaches and the skilled use of data;</li><li>Contributing to improved teaching and learning for G&amp;T learners by modelling differentiated pedagogy and reflective classroom practices;</li><li>Facilitating and coordinating staff professional development in differentiated pedagogical practice for G&amp;T learners;</li><li>Promoting teacher professionalism and encouraging positive staff morale by contributing to and initiating processes for team building;</li><li>Developing, evaluating and revising policies and practices which comply with College, Sydney Catholic Schools and NESA legislative requirements and guidelines;</li><li>Implementing an annual review of key results and utilising a professional interpretation of external data;</li><li>Providing sound leadership to and administration of G&amp;T in a way that is credible and consistent;</li><li>Collaborating with colleagues to build genuine and professional relationships and to promote a shared commitment and sense of alignment with College strategic directions.</li></ul><p>Interested applicants should submit a cover letter to the Principal, Dr Anne Ireland; an application addressing each of the selection criteria, a current resume and completed<b><i> Employment Application Form for Teaching Staff</i></b> (found on the College website under Employment Opportunities) with certified copies of qualifications.</p><p>Teachers must be registered to teach with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS).
