<p>We are seeking an enthusiastic, talented teaching professional to provide visionary and strategic leadership in the classroom setting to promote, support and sustain a dynamic digital learning environment that models and encourages the effective use of technology in the classroom environment. </p><p>This position is able to work with teachers across all stages and subject disciplines to develop the deep integration of both research skills and technology into all areas of the curriculum, ensuring teachers become experts in these spaces. </p><p>The position is a temporary part time 0.60 position working three days a week commencing in Term 1 2021 for a maximum period of 12 months. </p><p>Responsibilities of the role include: </p><ul><li>To participate in individual and collaborative development of digital resources. </li><li>Oversight and management of the Digital Technologies component of the (new) K-6 Science syllabus. </li><li>To support teachers within Years P - 6 with their implementation of ICT and curriculum integration by providing workshops, mentoring and coaching sessions. </li><li>Attend planning meetings and work with teachers to create programs that effectively integrate technology into teaching following the digital technologies curriculum and ICT general capabilities requirements. </li><li>Promote models of learning and classroom organisation that make effective use of eLearning. </li><li>Mentor staff on how to use ICT to build on skills such as cooperative and collaborative projects, reflective learning, critical thinking, student engagement and innovation, student centred learning and assessment based on digital pedagogies. </li><li>Promote a school culture of learning, via digital information sharing including establishing professional learning networks within and beyond Kambala. </li><li>Liaise with the Junior School Director of Curriculum, Director of ICT as well as the Senior School ICT integrator to lead in the implementation and further develop the School’s strategic vision relating to digital technologies. </li><li>Work alongside other team leaders to update a whole school approach to Cyber Safety and Digital Citizenship. </li><li>Will be responsible for the Year 3-6 Coding Club and Year 1-2 Coding Club. </li><li>Will have responsibility for the E Smart Schools Accreditation. </li><li>Provide leadership in the development, promotion and implementation of learning strategies that utilise a wide range of digital technologies and tools. </li><li>Work alongside classroom teachers in designated digital technology lesson time (Prep to Year 6).</li></ul><p>We are looking for someone who: </p><ul><li>is fully conversant with ICT as it relates specifically to schools and curriculum requirements; </li><li>possesses a thorough understanding of current trends specifically as it relates to curriculum and pedagogy; </li><li>holds strong research and writing skills; </li><li>has highly developed organisational and planning skills; </li><li>has an ability to work autonomously and as part of a team; </li><li>possesses effective interpersonal and communication skills; </li><li>has a natural rapport with staff and girls; </li><li>has the ability to engage students and inspire them to achieve the best results; </li><li>possesses a strong academic record; </li><li>is knowledgeable about the effective use of ICT in the classroom; </li><li>is confident in differentiating the curriculum in the classroom; </li><li>will support the co-curricular and pastoral care programs at the school; </li><li>will actively support the ethos of this Anglican Independent School; and </li><li>has a commitment to ongoing professional learning. </li></ul><p> </p><p>The successful applicant will need to supply a current Working with Children Check Number or Application Number. </p><p> </p><p>Please note that only candidates successful in progressing to the interview stage will be contacted. </p><p> </p><p>Applications should include the names of at least two referees and curriculum vitae. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>HR Manager </p><p>Kambala </p><p> </p><p>danielle_kassoua&#64;kambala.nsw.edu.au </p><p> </p><p>794 New South Head Road </p><p>ROSE BAY NSW 2029 </p><p>Telephone 9388 6853 </p><p>www.kambala.nsw.edu.au</p>
