<p>An exciting opportunity has become available to join our growing school community. The Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta is seeking a Specialist Teacher to be accountable for supporting our Strategic Intent of improving learning outcomes for all students and promoting a professional and rewarding working life for teachers.</p> <p><strong><em>Position Overview</em></strong></p> <p><strong><em>&nbsp;</em></strong>Reporting to the Head Student Services, the Specialist Teacher is accountable for:</p> <ul> <li>Creating inclusive practice in school culture in relation to the effective implementation of personalised learning and adjustments for students with additional needs and disability</li> <li>Understanding and implementing the Personalised Planning process</li> <li>Providing specialised teaching support services to schools aimed at building teacher capacity using a gradual release model</li> <li>Providing expert advice to leadership teams, teachers and the wider system on matters related to specific disabilities and/or additional needs in accordance with CEDP guidelines</li> <li>Working collaboratively to ensure inclusion, access and participation and to maximise learning outcomes for students with additional needs</li> </ul> <p>Applications close 31 January 2021</p> <p><strong><em>The Organisation</em></strong></p> <p>Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 83 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.&nbsp;This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CEDP’s Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.</p> <p>CEDP promotes the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds.
