The position is based at the Berrimah, Catholic Education Office. </b><br /></p><p>The Education Officer actively engages with schools to build the capacity of teachers to develop and enhance effective Educational Programs to meet the needs of students and all regulatory requirements. The position holder is an integral member of the Teaching and Learning Team responding to the needs and priorities of schools identified in their Annual School Improvement Plans and Annual Service Agreements. <br /></p><p><b>Essential Criteria for Employment </b></p><p>• Demonstrated commitment to Catholic Education </p><p>• Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary research and development in 21st century curriculum, pedagogy, wellbeing and school leadership </p><p>• Knowledge and experience of culturally competent and responsive frameworks and pedagogies in numeracy and mathematics </p><p>• Relevant and recent classroom teaching experience </p><p>• Capacity to work independently and in a team </p><p>• Proven capacity to work with Principals and staff in schools and other professional colleagues </p><p>• Registered as a teacher in the Northern Territory or eligibility to obtain registration <br /></p><p>This position involves working with children.
