Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW) comprises 38 Catholic schools with more then 19,000 students enrolled across the Illawarra, Macarthur, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands regions.

<p>The Director of Schools invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for this permanent full time position&nbsp;with Catholic Education, Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW) commencing 27 January 2021.</p> <p>As a member of the School Improvement Services Secondary Team, this position requires significant experience in curriculum and the capacity to support Secondary schools in Commonwealth, State and Diocesan initiatives. It will also involve supporting the School Review and Improvement Framework through the implementation of the targeted areas for improvement within the Strategic Direction “Lighting the Way”.</p> <div>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA:</div> <div>Applicants will need to provide evidence of:</div> <ul> <li>A deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of a Catholic school within the broader evangelising mission of the Catholic Church.</li> <li>Highly credible and skilled Year 7-12 educator with knowledge and skills in contemporary pedagogy for EALD learners.</li> <li>Evidence of ability to model highly effective EALD pedagogy.</li> <li>The capacity to work with schools in using the School Review and Improvement Framework.</li> <li>The capacity to support the Principal and Leadership Teams of schools in identifying needs and strategically planning and resourcing initiatives to address these needs.</li> <li>The ability to think and plan strategically using effective data analysis to inform decision-making and bring about improvement.</li> <li>The ability to design and deliver quality professional learning experiences for school staff.</li> </ul> <p>The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li dir="ltr">Well developed interpersonal skills.&nbsp;</li> <li dir="ltr">Well developed oral and written communication skills.</li> <li dir="ltr">Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li> <li dir="ltr">A commitment to ongoing personal and professional learning formation and growth.</li> </ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.</li> <li dir="ltr">Qualifications in English as an additional language or Dialect EAL/D.</li> <li dir="ltr">Accredited to Level B in accordance with the To Work, Teach and Lead Policy, or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment within CEDoW.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p> <p dir="ltr">This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment at CEDoW.</p> <p dir="ltr"><em>The Catholic Education Office is an agency of the Catholic Church called to stewardship and service in support of the system of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wollongong.
