<p>Marist Catholic College North Shore - Lavalla Campus (secondary) is seeking an enthusiastic, engaged and collaborative teaching assistant for our furture-focused Catholic College in Sydney. </p> <p>This 12 month temporary position will start on the 27 January 2021.</p><p><b>Hours:</b> Mon/Tues/Wed/Fri: 8-3pm; Thurs: 8 - 12:30pm</p><p>A primary function of this role will be to offer in class support to secondary school students with learning difficulties.</p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p> <ul><li>Desirable -Teachers Aide Certificate 3 or 4 in Education Support </li></ul> <p><b>Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Working effectively with team members, in particular the classroom teacher and Learning Support Teacher.</li><li>Demonstrated experience working with adolescents and providing in-class support across the curriculum to students with various learning difficulties.</li><li>Experience in supporting students with speech and language difficulties, Asperger&#39;s Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Mental Health difficulties and cognitive disabilities.</li><li>Patience, resilience and the desire, attitude &amp; skills to provide exceptional learning and care to students.</li><li>Excellent admin skills, typing and demonstrated experience in using word and excel software.</li></ul> <p><br /><br /></p>
