<p><b><u>OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE </u></b></p><p>The Director of Finance is responsible for ensuring that the administrative and financial services of the College are conducted efficiently and ethically in accordance with established standards and that all statutory and compliance obligations are met. </p><p> Together with the Director of Business, the Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the effective implementation and management of projects that improve the operations of the College. To this end, the Director of Finance is accountable for the financial leadership, administration and management of the College and its major projects and building works including the master plan. The Director of Finance works together with the Director of Business, and their relevant teams, to provide a high level of support and advice to the College Improvement Team and, in particular, the College Principal. </p><p> Together with the Director of Business, general risk management and compliance advice to the College Improvement Team, and the establishment of processes and procedures to ensure that the College’s compliance obligations (regulatory, legal and operational) are met, also forms part of the key responsibilities. </p><p> It is expected that as a member of the College Improvement Team (Leadership Team), s/he will be involved in college community activities outside currently designated school hours and participate in planning during some of the school holiday periods.  </p><p> This position description may be subject to change during the term of the appointment as part of the normal process of ongoing evaluation of the College&#39;s operations.  </p><p> The Director of Finance reports directly to the Principal.  </p><p><b><u> MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY</u></b> </p><p>The Director of Finance’s major areas of responsibility include but are not limited to: </p><p>i. Financial Leadership - Administration and Management; </p><p>iii. College Services; </p><p>iv. Enrolment processes; </p><p>v. Strategic Financial Planning; and </p><p>v. Performing other day-to-day duties as requested by the Principal. </p><p><br /></p>
